If a document won’t open in A1 Word Editor and you see a message saying the file is corrupted, try these first-aid steps:

1. Force-quit and relaunch the app | Close A1 Word Editor from the multitasking view, then reopen it. | Clears temporary glitches that may block the file from rendering. |
2. Restart your device | Power-cycle your iPhone or iPad. | Frees system memory the PDF renderer relies on. |
3 Open the same file in Apple Preview (or Files) | • Save the PDF locally if it lives in the cloud. | Preview uses the same iOS Word engine. Forcing it to render the file there can “unstick” whatever prevented it from loading before. |
4 Re-download or re-import | If the file is in Dropbox, Google Drive, etc., delete the local copy and download it again. | A partial or interrupted download often masquerades as corruption. |
5 Reinstall A1 Word Editor (last resort) | Back up unsynced files, delete the app, reinstall from the App Store, then re-import the Word. | Re-installs a fresh copy of the rendering engine in case the app itself was damaged. |
